So friends, first in my series of hair products that stood the test of time – and came out winners when faced with harsh hard water – is a shampoo by VLCC. The VLCC Soya Protein Shampoo may be deceptive with its simple looks but works wonderfully.
What the company claims
The Product
The shampoo comes in a flip cap plastic bottle. Nothing impressive about the packaging but convenient to use. The VLCC Soya Protein Conditioning Shampoo is orange in color. It is translucent and more like a liquid gel in consistency.
My Experience with VLCC Soya Protein Shampoo
This shampoo is organic and I bought it mainly due to the claim of scalp nourishment. None of my shampoos from high end brands were working and I had a complete fiasco with one of the so called organic shampoos that I used – I was left with hair fall which was so extreme that even in my pony hair would keep falling out. I got horrible split ends and hair started to feel very limp.
And was I happy – I was simply amazed with the results. The VLCC soya protein shampoo reduced my hair fall by at least 25% with the first wash – yes you read it right, the first day itself! The shampoo lathered on well but I had to use a larger quantity (almost double of what you see in the swatch below) than I would normally take. But whose complaining? Not me for sure!
Hair feels soft to touch and hair fall is reduced – what more could I ask for from such a humble looking product? The only con that I found was that I still need to wash my hair every other day or else my scalp starts feeling itchy in places – no there is no dandruff it just feels a bit dirty. This could be due to my oily scalp (yes I have an oily scalp but dry hair – the troubles never seem to end do they?)

Anubha, monsoons are known to take a toll on hair - you will see more hair fall during monsoons.
DeleteStick to you regular shampoo and change i only after monsoons end and your problem is still there. You can treat your hair to a weekly hair mask - check out my post homemade hair mask
