Hi guys! Today I have another nail art post for you all. This time its for a dual challenge.
I had to do a diagonal gradient technique challenge for #tnttech (part of the Those Nails Though group on Facebook) as well as the #tnttwinnails challenge. So since I'm super lazy I decided to combine both the challenges in one nail art.
As part of the Twin Nails Challenge I got paired with Krystal Moore (@queenofnails83 on instagram) She is one of the admins at Those Nails Though and is the one responsible for inspiring me to get back to nail art with her fun challenges!
The technique challenge was to do a diagonal gradient. And the twin nail challenge was to replicate a nail art done by your partner. So here is the nail art that I did this week.
Another solo shot of my nails.

Diagonal Gradient Nail Art |
The base was created using sponging with 3 different polishes. To create a diagonal gradient all you have to do is sponge the nail in a diagonal manner instead of horizontally. I used two color show polishes and one local polish in teal.
After the gradient dried up I topped it with some stamping using my Uber Chic stamping plate 5-02 and white stamping polish from El Corazon.
To add some dimension I added tiny glitter dots to the centre of the flowers using the Love Bri Products glitter polish Gold Rush.
Polishes used for Diagonal Gradient Nail Art |
Here is a pic of the original mani done by Krystal. I toned down the colors in mine and used a different floral motif since I did not have any plate with the exact design as Krystal's. And of course as you notice I still have tiny nails!

Here is what Krystal did. She made an exact replica of the Cut Out Heart nail art I did using the Maybelline Glitter Mania Red Carpet. I think she did a splendid job!
Do let me know if you ever retry any of my nail arts. I would love to show it here on the blog!
Till the next challenge - clean and polishes nails to you all!

DeleteI've always wondered if a diagonal gradient would work, and you've proved it can! This is really well done. I love the idea of this challenge, too; I like the liberty you took with the original design; the elements are all there, but you've made them your own. Awesome job!
