A Day At V Club, Gurgaon

Last weekend I got to spend a day at the V Club, Gurgaon (or Gurugram!). Read on to know more about this Club and how I spent my day there.

V Club is a luxurious full-service Club in the heart of Vipul World, Sector 48. The place looks grand as you enter the tall gates into an area flocked with a beautiful landscape. 

We (my husband and I) were welcomed by the reception staff and promptly taken up to our room on the forth floor. All rooms are pleasantly decorated in a white and green theme. They have large windows that overlook the Gurgaon city. From our window we could see the nearby Tatvam Villas (which were gorgeous by the way!)

Each room is equipped with a tea/coffee machine, television, a small sofa, and a table n chair. There is an almirah where you can store your stuff (but there is no locker available)

In all there are 20 rooms. We were in 402 which faces the city. The rooms are inter-connecting in case you are visiting along with other family members or friends.

V Club caters to a vast audience of different age groups. They have ample space for family and corporate events. And the highlight is the plethora of activities that you can undertake at the club. There are 2 indoor badminton courts, 2 squash courts, 2 table tennis tables, lawn tennis courts, a nice gym, and facility for yoga and Zumba classes. Steam and locker facilities are available. There is an outdoor pool, a Jacuzzi, and a kids pool too. 

V Club also hosts special events like music nights, workshops, sports tournaments and even hobby classes for its members. Members also get special discounts on dining and Cafe Deli, beverage privileges (discounts on IMFL at On the Rock, Lounge and Bar) and discounts on rooms as well (subject to availability)

We enjoyed all the facilities and spent quite a competitive time playing table tennis and badminton. Later on we went for a dip in the pool. I can't swim but I love spending time in the water. I've just started to learn to float and I'm still scared as hell. But we had a fun time just being in the pool which was sparkling clean.

We had our meals at their restaurant called In Good Taste. Its a full-service multi-cuisine restaurant
which has a private dining area, a bar with a terrace overlooking the lawns, and a bakery.

For lunch we enjoyed mocktails with some salad and pizza. I had a cinnamon flavored mocktail which was the chef's special for that day. It was very relaxing and rejuvenating. The bar area was busy with a corporate team enjoying their party during lunch hours. V Club sets up this space with special themes as requested.

For dinner we enjoyed some soup and Chinese food followed by a heavenly tiramisu which was presented in a beautiful manner.

The property also houses a cards room which is quite interesting. If you plan to use the cards room with a bunch of friends, they can setup food and drinks here suited to your taste. The ambiance inside this room is just perfect for an evening of cards.

If you are visiting with kids and want some time for yourself, they have a tastefully done kids zone where children can surely enjoy and have fun.

The highlight of our stay was the Private Home Theater - yes V Club has its own theater with 24 full recliner seats. We asked for a movie screening post dinner and it was fun watching it in those comfy seats with the whole place to ourselves. This private theater can be booked for a movie screening or screening of a sports match. Popcorn and drinks can be arranged for you as part of the package.

The next morning we decided to have breakfast in bed. We ate a light breakfast of toast, fresh juice and fruits. And I gorged on the muffins which were absolutely yummy!

Overall it was a fun weekend for us. We really enjoyed the hospitality of the entire team at V Club and would definitely recommend it to all you guys.
