I have been a big fan of previous FACES foundations that I have used and have one more to share with you all. This is the FACES Ultime Pro Second Skin foundation.

It comes in frosted glass bottle with a pump cap. The bottle looks luxurious.
It is convenient to dispense but due to the glass packaging it can't accompany me on my travels.
FACES Ultime Pro Second Skin Foundation claims to be an ultra-lightweight liquid to powder foundation owing to its new breakthrough color technology.
It is a serum based foundation and does actually feel almost like water when you apply it to your skin. Its like there is nothing on your skin at all. The coverage is medium build-able.
The finish it imparts to the skin is very natural, almost matte. The smooth texture makes this foundation literally glide on your skin.
FACES Ultime Pro Second Skin is available in four different shades ranging from light to dark - Ivory, Natural, Beige and Sand,
Shades have been chosen to work with the Indian skin tone and the foundation also comes with SPF 15.
Price: Rs.1499 for 30ml [available on flipkart for Rs 1199]
I picked out the shade Beige which I think is suitable for most girls (you can see my instagram pics to get an idea of my skin tone).
I have applied this foundation with a brush as well as with hands - its works well with both. With a sponge I feel I waste a lot of foundation so I prefer to use a brush with this foundation. Its gives me an airbrush sort of finish. Half a pump usually works for me (around 2-3 drops) and I layer more in areas that need more coverage.
On me the foundation does start to fade towards the end of my office hours so overall I'll say combination skin like mine will get a longevity of around 4-5 hours.
The foundation does have a faint vanilla like scent which is not bothersome to me. Overall I'm quite pleased with this foundation. I like the texture, the natural looking coverage and the fact that it has a paraben free formula.
I do think its more on the expensive side for other foundations from FACES but I believe this competes with quite high end brands and a small amount will last you a long time.
Overall a good foundation to invest it.

Interesting about it being a scented foundation.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I could do a vanilla scented foundation. I'm not overly fond of the scent in general, and to have it on my face would drive my sensitive nose into overdrive!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a good color match. I'm not sure how I feel about the dip stick though. I prefer squeeze tubes or droppers for hygienic reasons.
ReplyDeleteVanilla! I'd love it when I'm feeling like the need for a sweet! :) I do love the frosted glass packaging.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a nice foundation. And yay for the natural finish.
ReplyDeleteI like light-feeling foundations, but 4-5 hours doesn't seem terribly long-lasting to me.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of a scented foundation before!
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for packaging and I love this bottle! The scent would definitely throw me off, though.
ReplyDeleteThe vanilla scent sounds lovely. But I'd be hugely peeved with the dropper bottle. I'm all about pumps for foundation bottles!
ReplyDeleteVanilla scented foundation?! That's odd!
ReplyDeleteI love a good foundation with SPF - sounds nice!
